Dear Hamburg residents, dear Hamburg and harbor fans, dear water sports enthusiasts …

We have just departed from St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, Bridge 10, and today our team would like to tell you about 10 years of the MARITIME CIRCLE LINE – the hop-on hop-off cultural cruise in the Port of Hamburg.

Operating the MARITIME CIRCLE LINE is an exciting and challenging task that I have set myself as an entrepreneur. For 10 years now, the red barges of the MARITIME CIRCLE LINE have been shaping the image of the Port of Hamburg, and many people enjoy our harbor cruises. It makes me happy every day to present this popular cultural and leisure offer in the port together with my team and to be able to do something for the people of our city – whether they live here or are spending time in Hamburg as guests from Germany or abroad.

The harbor was a fascinating playground for me as a child. Later, when I stood at the helm for the first time, I knew that I wanted to be a captain. The port of Hamburg is my field, based on the words of Albert Ballin. Our common goal in the company is to always make the MARITIME CIRCLE LINE’s round trips interesting. To achieve this, we need to continue to develop, learn from our mistakes, try out new things and in this way actively help to shape the port as well as the tourism and leisure offer.

With this chronicle on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the MARITIME CIRCLE LINE in 2017, we want to entertain you and tell you about the port and us with beautiful pictures. We think that after our first decade, it is important to review the events so that we can approach future plans with courage, imagination and new ideas, so that we are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
